Game Guide
The Longest Journey

Okay, this one's for all you adventuresome folks that can do without blazing guns or slashing swords: The Longest Journey, from Funcom. For fans of adventure games like Myst, The Longest Journey puts the player in the shoes of April, a 23rd Century art student who must travel between alternate realities to save two worlds.

Four CDs of high-quality graphics take you travelling through Stark and Arcadia, where you interact with a host of individuals in an effort to solve the puzzles that will save the two worlds.

Unlike shooters and typical role-playing games, The Longest Journey focuses on game play, character interaction, and puzzle-solving, not violence. This can make the game lean a bit to the boring side if you prefer action genres, and some of the puzzles are a bit contrived and silly. However, there is enough material in the game for days of game play.

The Longest Journey has an ESRB rating of Mature, due to language content that may not be appropriate for all ages.
