Game Guide
Pandora's Box

Listener Kay from Pittsburgh emailed us to let us know about one of her favorite games: Pandora's Box, a popular 3D puzzle game from Microsoft and the creator of Tetris, Alexey Pajitnov. Kay writes: "They are all visual puzzles, and are particularly attractive to people who like jigsaw puzzles."

Don't mistake this game for something reserved for children, though. Pandora's Box features 400 addictive puzzles of 10 different types and 5 levels of difficulty. It also includes Hints and Wildcards to help you on your way if you happen to get stuck (so there is hope in the bottom of Pandora's box). And single player and multiplayer versions allow you to set your pace and compete against your family and friends. Customer reviews at Amazon.com also lend to the opinion that this is a puzzle game as much for adults as for kids. Pandora's box offers an alternative for adults who don't like role playing or simulation games.

Microsoft has been kind enough to offer a downloadable trial version of Pandora's Box at their official Pandora's Box web site. You can also check out a list of game features and screen shots, as well as extra puzzles not included in the boxed version.
