(Pittsburgh, PA - July 19, 1999) "Internet Insider - Radio with Byte!" a call-in talk radio show that started in 1994 as a local radio show announced today that it has signed major stations in most of the top markets in the United States.
"The response that we're getting from the stations is tremendous," said David Radin, host of Internet Insider, and president of M. Masters, the company that produces the show. "We now have major stations in almost all of the major markets. And we expect the support to continue growing as more people get to hear it."
During recent months, Internet Insider has gained coverage of 65 radio markets in preparation for an August 7 national roll-out. By obtaining popular stations in major markets, the company expects to have the largest listening audience of any computer or Internet radio show with 1 million monthly cumulative listeners.
M. Masters has reached agreements to broadcast with a number of powerhouse radio stations including WABC in New York, WCKG in Chicago, WWDB in Philadelphia, WBAP in Dallas, KVI in Seattle, and KDKA in Pittsburgh. The show will be broadcast in 13 of the top 15 markets and will be live in the top 4 markets.
Listeners can find the station nearest them and the broadcast days and times by visiting InsiderRadio.com, the official web site of Internet Insider. In addition to having a "cool" station locator, this web site provides post show support for listeners. "We feel it's important to make it easy on listeners to find the web sites we talk about and to use the techniques we describe - so we provide additional information on our web site after every show. No matter where the listener is, he doesn't even have to pick up a pencil to use our information."
Listeners that are not in earshot of the radio stations broadcasting Internet Insider can listen via the Internet. All listeners can call in questions via telephone, send email to be answered on the air, or find tips, tricks or secrets on InsiderRadio.com or from the show's weekly tip via e-mail.
Internet Insider is the world's fastest growing radio show about the Internet or computing. It started in 1994 as KDKA Radio Online. (According to the host, the name didn't include Internet because at the time, nobody was sure that the Internet would really take off.) It features a team of experts called the Insiders who cover various Internet and computing topics from eCommerce to web browsing, Windows to Macintosh, UNIX to you-know-what. Regular features include The Internet Frustration Buster, Website of the Week, Insider Tips, and interviews with industry visionaries. The radio show originates from the studios of KDKA Radio, the first commercial radio station in the United States.
